Bollywood actor Rishi Kapoor, famous for his romantic roles, died of cancer at the age of 67 on Thursday 30th April 2020 in Mumbai, India.
He was part of the Kapoor acting dynasty which has long dominated Bollywood the Hindi film industry. The actor made a huge splash in 1973 with the first lead role in Bobby, a teenage love story. He played a romantic lead in dozen of films for over two decades. Rishi Kapoor debuted as a child actor in “Mera Naam Joker” in 1970 which was his father Raj Kapoor’s film. Many of his films were box office hits. He was a skillful dancer. Some of his films title songs are massively popular even today. Kapoor made a successful pair with actor Netu Singh. He got married in 1980. His son Ranbir Kapoor is a successful Bollywood star. The news, he has lost his battle with cancer came a day after the death of Bollywood actor Irfan Khan. Kapoor was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018. He returned to India last September after a year-long treatment in New York. He was taken to hospital on Wednesday morning after he complained of breathing difficulties.

Irfan Khan was born in Jaipur in 1966. He struggled hard to make a consistent mark in the film industry. Irfan Khan made a huge splash in Film “Salaam Bombay” in 1988. Piku, Pan Singh Tomar, and Maqbool were some of his famous films. He made a huge name internationally after working into the Western Project “Slumdog Millionaire” in 2008 and “Jurassic World” in 2015. Irrfan Khan lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday. He was diagnosed with this rare cancer since 2018.
