Jeep has been a long-standing American brand, and in 2020 the red, white and blue company is unveiling its latest creation, the Jeep Gladiator! Looking like a Wrangler, but feeling like a Silverado, the 2020 Jeep Gladiator offers plenty of towing and hauling capability that combines well with Jeep’s signature off-road abilities. When appropriately equipped, the Gladiator can tow an impressive 7,650 pounds. While the cargo bed is only available in a 5-foot configuration, it is easy to access and has some terrific features such as a unique tailgate position which enables you to haul longer items. Driving the Gladiator is surprisingly untruck-like as it is as much fun to drive on the road as it is off.

The first engine offered for the Gladiator is a 3.6-liter V6 with 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque which is mated with a 6-speed manual transmission with the option of an 8-speed automatic transmission if you choose. Eventually, Jeep will offer a 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 which will have 260 horsepower and 442 lb-ft of torque which will is mated to the 8-speed automatic transmission. A 5-link coil suspension system placed in both the front and back of the Gladiator and both have different control-arm setups that give you a smooth ride when driving on the highway. The available low torque system is as good as the Wrangler and, along with the impressive tire grip, allows the Gladiator to make mincemeat of any obstacles that come into its path.

On the outside the 2020 Jeep Gladiator look like a Jeep. The right-angled rectangle on the wheels is true to Jeep’s styling and, depending on the trim level, and you can get design features such as a convertible soft-top and hardtop options, doors that come off, and a windshield that folds forward proving you with a complete open-air driving experience that one expects with a Jeep.
