Hackers stole more than $600 million worth of cryptocurrency from the Poly Network, a decentralized finance platform. This is one of the largest cryptocurrency robberies in recent years. An unexpected turning point is that the thief subsequently returned more than one-third of the stolen assets.
Poly Network uses digital assets to carry out lending and other financial transactions. The company released a series of tweets on Tuesday to disclose the hacker robbery. Blockchain security company SlowMist estimates that the value of the stolen cryptocurrency at the time was more than $610 million.

The digital currencies stolen by hackers include Ethereum, tokens backed by Bitcoin, tether and Shiba Inu, which are designed to mimic the value of the U.S. dollar.
Poly Network is still waiting for the repayment process to be fully completed but is cooperating with hackers.
